About GramEye

GramEye is a medtech startup leveraging AI and robotics to make infectious disease diagnostics faster, more standardized, and more precise.
The company has developed Mycrium, an automated microbial Gram staining and analysis system that fully automates processes traditionally performed manually by clinical laboratory technologists — from staining to microscopy and bacterial identification. Mycrium’s AI analyzes microscopic images to detect and classify bacteria with high accuracy in a short time, enabling clinicians to obtain results in as little as 10 minutes per sample. This innovation not only enhances diagnostic speed and treatment outcomes, but also promotes the appropriate use of antibiotics, contributing to both the mitigation of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and improved operational efficiency in clinical settings.
