PROFILE

Ken Hanabaru is a manager of IPO support and fund management of portfolio companies. Joined August 2021.
He is a seasoned expert experience with IPO deals at a prime investment bank, venture capitalist experience in domestic and global investments.
Prior to BNV, he worked for the Investment Banking Division of Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities and played significant role in execution of a variety of IPOs, including owner-operated companies, privatizations, PE fund sponsorships, and startups. During that time, he stationed at three IPO preparation companies. Also, he was a core member of establishing a startup specialized marketing team. Major IPO trucks are Joyful Honda, Mizuho Medy, JR Kyushu, Kioxia(withdraw).
After his undergraduate, he worked for a trading company trading including stationing in Hong Kong. After returning to Japan, he became a venture capitalist at Mitsubishi Corporation VC, where he invested nanotechnology ventures globally, and at Mitsubishi UFJ Securities VC, where he invested in Japanese ventures. Major IPO truck is ALBERT.
Ken holds an MBA from University of Strathclyde, UK/Glasgow. Enjoys road biking, running, and watching football on weekends. Born in Miyakonojo, Miyazaki.
